RESPONSABLE by Famille Bruno Lafon Bruno, Sharon and Alice Lafon, was created as they worked late into the night in the cellar during the 2020 harvest : they talked about their vision of a more upscale, elegant yet expressive organic wine that was truly responsible, sustainable and organic. Responsable respects the environment thanks to its recycled and recyclable packaging, light bottle and label with a recycled paper. It is certified organic, and made in the complete respect of the environment and the wine. Responsible production every step of the way!
TERROIR
Terroir of clay and limestone around Magalas.
IN THE VINEYARD
Non-irrigated and organically cultivated grapes (no pesticides or insecticides).
40-60 years old vineyard.
Controlled natural grassing, limited mechanization.
WINEMAKING
Harvested by hand, fermented with indigenous yeasts (no additions), minimal sulfur additions.
Made with a Solera method, majority of Grenache.
Aged in concrete tank (no oak), simple vinification.
VARIETALS
Grenache noir, Carignan, Syrah, Mourvèdre
Contains sulphites. Does not contain egg or egg
products. Does not contain milk or milk-based
products.
AGEING POTENTIAL
Enjoy all year long, 3 to 5 years
TASTING
Complex nose of red and black fruits which follow on the palate, complimented with subtle allspice
characters. Mouth-feel is full and lingering. Elegant Southerner but fresh and tense on the palate,
tannins softly coated in your mouth.
