In 2009, Julien Bréchet took over the reins of the historic family estate. He immediately embarked on a thorough examination of his terroirs, separated his vinifications, and let the terroir define his wines. To the blended wine that made Gigondas famous, he added several cuvées with a strong identity. With this single vineayard wine approach, he broke with convention and blazed a new trail. 50 ha, including 26 ha in Gigondas. Organic certification since 2021. A single vineyard wine made from old Grenache vines planted on one of the finest terroirs in the southern Rhône, sandy soils. Nestled in lush greenery, halfway up a slope in the middle of the woods and benefiting from welcome shade, the estate's historic vineyard produces a wine of the utmost delicacy, both in its ultra-fine texture and its highly subtle aromatics.

TASTING NOTES
At Lieu Dit, the Grenache grapes are a translucent, luminous ruby color. Its captivating initial nose of morello cherry, cherry, and Kirsch lingers on notes of bramble wood and old rose. The subtle finesse that characterizes great fine sand terroirs continues the palate with its velvety texture, ultra-fine tannins, and a fresh, almost graphite finish.
