Along with 'Conterno', the family name 'Seghesio' is synonymous with Monforte d'Alba; the family moved to the centre of the village in 1968, where they are now adding a wingt to their cantina. But it was Renzo who put the family on the map in 1996 by buying the 7ha Cascina Pajana property, now located within the Ginestra MGA. They also own two plots in Santa Maria della Morra, Bricco Chiesa & Roggeri, while in 2011 they invested in the Roero, buying 4ha in Sanche', Vezza d'Alba. Good news in 2020 with the return of Raffaele's brother Federico, the hiring of a new consultant, Roberto Valletti, & the acquisto of a super Pellenc destalker!
2022 Barolo Ginestra vigna Pajana comes from their East facing, 1.3ha plot that looks across at Serralunga d'Alba on white Formazione di Lequio soils; indeed its perfume, sapidity, & verticality is less Monforte more Serralunga! Aged in 32HL Stockinger botte.
