To the younger, lighter soils of the Roero, north of Alba/the Langhe, to the comune of Pocapaglia ('Roccapalea' in Roman times) where since taking over from their parents in 2014 the Tibaldi sorelle/sisters, Monica & Daniela, have been busy conjuring up such pretty wines from their 8ha of delicious organic fruit. Key to the estate is the Arneis variety, with which they also make a classic Roero Arenis, a sapid Riserva 'Bricco delle Passere' & also a metodo classico 'RitaSte' from the vyd that lies behind the cantina. They also make small quantities of Langhe Nebbiolo, Favorita, & Barbera d'Alba.
Their 2022 Roero DOCG comes from a top calc clay site Coste Anforiano over looking the river Tanaro & Verduno beyond, aged for 12 mths in 10HL botte grande.
