“In Bannockburn, a land of contrasts and extremes, the vine moves forward in a state of constant duality. Beneath the schist rocks, our Pinot Noir draws an intensity born of this tension, echoing the power of Te Pō. Akaruaexpresses the fragile balance of a place that reveals itself only to those who listen.”

TASTING NOTES
To the eye, the wine displays a deep dark ruby-purple colour with subtle garnet hues. The nose is expressive and layered, opening on notes of dry herbs and black berry fruit, followed by nuances of mushroom, forest floor and smoky oak char. On the palate, the wine is rich and generous, revealing flavoursof ripe black cherry, Christmas cake, dark chocolate and spice, complemented by hints of black olive and forest floor. Full-bodied and concentrated, it shows ample, fine-grained tannins and impressive complexity.
The finish is long and elegant, marked by lingering red plum notes. With its complex, sophisticated and powerful profile, Akarua The Siren pairs beautifully with butterflied lamb, chargrilled steak, mushroom-based dishes, as well as vegetable dishes offering a touch of sweetness and acidity.
