This wine is named “Eve”, one of Benjamin and Ariane de Rothschild's four daughters. Eve is thus associated with the revival of Château de Malengin, whose origins date back to 1330. This mainly Merlot wine breaks with the Bordeaux tradition of barrel ageing: it is matured in amphoras for twelve months, giving a very contemporary, fresh, fruity and crisp profile. A new expression of the great clay-limestone terroirs of the right bank of Bordeaux.

TASTING COMMENTS
Appearance: The color is bright, intense, and deep with violet highlights.
Nose: Intense, rich aromas of Bigarreau cherries envelop the nose. It’s immediate, straightforward, and direct.
Palate: The attack is crisp and clean, then, as on the nose, the fleshy Bigarreau cherry aromas fill the palate. The mid-palate is full and enveloping. The tannins are velvety. The saline finish is refreshing. Overall, the wine shows great length with lovely persistence. A modern wine, enjoyable in its youth but also capable of improving over time, with an aging potential of 5 to 6 years.
Recommended serving temperature: 16 °C – 17 °C.
