“In Bannockburn, a land of contrasts and extremes, the vine moves forward in a state of constant duality. Beneath the schist rocks, our Pinot Noir draws an intensity born of this tension, echoing the power of Te Pō. Akaruaexpresses the fragile balance of a place that reveals itself only to those who listen.”

TASTING NOTES
To the eye, the wine shows a medium purple colour enhanced by vibrant crimson hues. The nose is expressive and aromatic, revealing delicate floral notes alongside aromas of blueberry, blackberry and raspberry, intertwined with hints of thyme, sweet spice and lightly charred oak. On the palate, the entry is smooth and gently sweet, unveiling layers of dark cherry, black Dorisplum, blackberry and red currant, complemented by subtle nuances of mushroom and dark chocolate. Medium-bodied yet concentrated, the wine is beautifully balanced and remarkably complex.
Fine, silky and velvety tannins lead into a very long, elegant finish marked by mineral tension and ripe plum notes.
