Justin Bruyère, a descendant of the Delas family, inherited exceptional vineyards in Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, and Saint-Joseph. Sylvain David comes from a winemaking family in Charentes. After working in Beaujolais alongside Jean-Paul Brun, he eventually settled in the Northern Rhône, working with Jean-Michel Gerin. Captivated by the region, he acquired vineyards in the IGP Collines Rhodaniennes above Ampuis.
Maison Bruyère & David was founded in 2018 when Justin and Sylvain decided to unite their expertise and vineyards, blending their shared vision and complementary skills. Together, they craft contemporary wines that truly express the NorthernRhône Valley’s sense of place—Saint-Joseph, Condrieu, Côte-Rôtie, Cornas—and, of course, Syrah and Viognier.
Their vineyards are cultivated with sustainable practices that respect the natural balance of the land. Today, the estate spans 10 hectares and continues to grow, with exciting developments on the horizon.
From the very beginning, their wines caught the attention of Decanter for their outstanding quality, a reputation later reinforced by international critics such as Jeb Dunnuck and James Suckling.
