Consortium: from Latin consortium, derived from consors-ortis, meaning “those who share fate.”
Land, sweat, sacrifice, courage, ingenuity, tradition, word, nature: there is no precise moment in history that reveals the indissoluble bond between the land cultivated by humans and the essentials needed to produce “Chianti” wine.
The origin of the concept of “Chianti,” even before the wine itself, is lost in the mists of time—a long and arduous journey made of people, warring cities, art, and breathtaking landscapes. From the ancient civilizations that inhabited this region, through the medieval era, the Renaissance, and into modern times, viticulture in Tuscany has never ceased.
In 1927, a group of winemakers founded the “Chianti Wine Consortium,” one of the first wine producer associations in Italy, with the mission to protect and promote Chianti D.O.C.G. wine, “which by ancient tradition is known both in Italy and abroad.” Since 1932, the territory under the Consortium’s protection has included six provinces, dotted with some of the world’s most beautiful cities of art and culture: Florence, Siena, Arezzo, Pisa, Pistoia, and Prato.
This “love story” between humankind and nature today involves around 3,000 companies spread across approximately 15,500 hectares of vineyards, producing nearly 100 million bottles each year. Yes, you read that right: one hundred million bottles annually.
Casa di Monte Farm, located in the heart of Chianti, in Montespertoli, is a family-run business with a history spanning five generations. Covering a total area of 80 hectares, the farm is still managed today by the Simoncini family, who have maintained a deep connection with the land and its traditions.
The hilly terrain, situated between 200 and 350 meters above sea level, is particularly suited for the cultivation of vineyards and olive groves. The farm boasts around 40 hectares of vineyards spread across the municipalities of Montespertoli and San Casciano in Val di Pesa, where the typical Chianti varieties, such as Sangiovese, Colorino, and Cabernet Sauvignon, are grown. In recent years, the farm has made significant investments in renewing the vineyards and improving the company’s facilities, with a special focus on upgrading the winery. The adoption of advanced technologies in winemaking and aging processes has allowed for an even higher quality of wines, while still preserving the deep-rooted traditions that have always defined the farm.
The company philosophy is based on a balance between tradition and innovation, aiming to produce wines with character that are both genuine and typical, reflecting the terroir in which they are produced.
In addition to the vineyards, the farm is also dedicated to olive cultivation, covering approximately seven hectares. Around two thousand trees of the Frantoio and Moraiolo varieties produce top-quality extra virgin olive oil. The olives are handpicked at the right stage of ripeness to preserve their aromas and flavors. The olives are processed within the same day of harvest, using a cold-pressing method that maintains the best organoleptic properties. The "Laudemio" extra virgin olive oil is the farm’s flagship product, symbolizing quality and attention to detail.

Fattoria il Muro is situated in the very heart of Tuscany, in Arezzo, a medieval city of Etruscan origin. The wine farm has been owned by the Pancaro family for more than 200 years. Our land has always been used for vine cultivation thanks to its favorable microclimate and particular environmental conditions that are ideal for producing high quality grapes, allowing to create wines in the most environmentally sustainable and eco-friendly way. The soil rich in marl and the temperate climate provide a microhabitat that improves the organoleptic qualities and the health of the grapes.
It extends over an area of about 35 ha, among woods and tilled land, mainly vineyards and olive groves.
Since the early 1970s, the late owner Francesco Pancaro, decided to specialize in growing grape. His engagement and work have been continued by the whole family, but mostly by his son, Federico. Federico, agronomist as well, is engaged in updating the production techniques while keeping up the old traditions, like using only traditional Tuscan chestnut wood barrels for ageing. He is aware that enthusiasm, love for nature and respect for the environment are the recipe to maintaining the high quality of the products. Because of this philosophy, only our own grapes are beeing used for wines' production.
His main goal is to create enjoyable and easy drinkable wines, fresh and simple that could be universally appreciated by any palate.

Once arrives at Mansalto one immediately thinks of "a world apart." This is in fact the impression one gets when visiting the 2,000 hectares in a single body that stretch across the territory of four municipalities: Castelnuovo Berardenga, Bucine, Rapolano Terme and Monte San Savino, and two provinces (Siena and Arezzo). The more than pristine environment is little man-made. Woods cover about two-thirds of the area and incorporate a historically minority and discrete human presence.
Vineyards (60 hectares total, 40 of which are in full production) and olive groves (55 hectares) are nestled among holm oaks, chestnut trees, heather and wild forest. If we also consider the average elevation of 500 meters, with peaks of over 600, we can understand what the character of the wines and oil produced here can be.
The first element to consider is the great biodiversity in which the crops grow. This is a source of complexity for the products of the earth.
The second is the non-intensive situation of cultivation guaranteed by the impressive area of forests compared to cultivated land: this gives healthiness to the products and the need for less care than intensive cultivation.
The third element is the composition of the soil, rich in rocks such as Galestro and Alberese, typical of the Tuscan Macigno.
Finally, again the forest and the altitude which together create a very special microclimate and favor the night/day temperature range giving aromatic intensity to the products of this land.
The wines in production are, to date:
1.Cortinova IGT Toscana Chardonnay, single varietal, a wine of rare minerality and floral character.
2.La Commenda Chianti Superiore DOCG, based on Sangiovese with a small percentage of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, a wine of immediate pleasantness and easy pairing.
3.Castello Rapale Igt Toscana red obtained with a predominance of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes combined with 40% Sangiovese and Merlot expertly aged in wood to achieve a complexity unique in the style of a Tuscan wine.
4.Stroncoli, Igt Toscana Rosso made from a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot aged in larger woods to maintain typical varietal expressions.

6. Palazzuolo Sparkling Rosé, our Sangiovese sparkling wine made with the charmat method, fresh, floral with clear notes of wild strawberry.
All these wines carry imprinted the character of the lands from which they come with saltiness, harmony and complexity, elements easily recognizable even at the first taste.
Equally interesting is Mansalto's Extra Virgin Olive Oil IGP Toscano produced by cold pressing olives of the proprietary Frantoio, Leccino, Moraiolo and Correggiolo varieties. Mansalto is a flavorful, elegant and complex oil that surprises both in its ability to enhance the quality of the foods it accompanies and in its ability to get consumers to agree.

Piandaccoli is a small winery in Tuscany which produce high quality wines. We are located in a places rich in history and tradition and we cultivate vineyards exclusively with autochthons varieties respecting people and environment.
From thes grapes we produce Chianti and some other very special wines from extremely rare indigenous and historical vines from Tuscany. We are infact one of the very few producers which make wine from grapes like Foglia Tonda, Pugnitello, Barsaglina, Mammolo, historical vines that went lost during the philloxera epidemic in half ninth century and have been recovered with a project in partnership with University of Florence starting from the discovery of some grape seeds inside the Lorenzo De Medici (Ruler of Florence during the Renaissance period) tomb.
After long research, we have been able to produce wine from these seeds, first in blend with Sangiovese then also in purity. At last we have been also able to make a sparkling wine from one of these grape, the first one ever produced and actually the only one exhisting in the world.
These wines are very appreciated from italian and international reviewers like James Suckling.
We believe in high quality and natural product with strong tie with our land and Tuscan identity. For this reason in our cultivations we only use organic and biodynamic mixtures and process (even if we are not certified yet), preserving the nature and emphasizing the natural vocation of our amazing and unique terroir, rich in minerals with some prehistoric canyons extending within the boundaries of the estate. The company size is about 90 hectares, 20 with vineyards, the rest for olive groves, orchards, vegetable gardens and woodland, in order to maintain a natural balance in the earth.
The harvesting methods are not of intensive agriculture, so we can preserve an exceptional quality of the grapes and then we use the highest available technology in cellar for keeping this quality high without adding sulfites and other substance.
In Artimino the passion for wine comes from the distant past, back to the Etruscans. The Medici family first sparked interest in quality wine, in particular with the edict of Cosimo I of 1716. Since the 1980s the Tenuta di Artimino has been owned by the Olmo family: the third generation, now at the helm, has chosen to focus on sustainable and responsible agriculture, honoring this ancient history and centuries-old traditions. 70 hectares of splendid vineyards surround the Medici Villa La Ferdinanda (Unesco world heritage site), with noble vines such as Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon, said to have been brought by Catherine de’ Medici. These are wines from a secluded, more authentic Tuscany, where the pace of life is still marked by the rhythms of nature and the countryside.
Uggiano, originally founded in the Castle of Montespertoli is now a modern winery led by the three historical partners. Since 2019 Uggiano run a small boutique winery in Scansano - Maremma (Southern Tuscany) called Tenuta Aquilaia where local grape varieties such as Vermentino, Ciliegiolo and Sangiovese are well matched with the international grapes Chardonnay,Petit Verdot, Alicante, Merlot and Sauvignon blanc. The estate is located in the heart of Maremma, Tuscany, where, more than 2000 years ago, the ancient Etruscans dedicated their lives to making great quality wine.
Travignoli's success and longevity marks it as one of the 150 most antique enterprises in Italy, with our vineyards having a long history in wine cultivation dating back to the Etruscans in 500 BC.
