Certified Organic — We are one of the leading organic producers in NZ.  We converted to organics in 2006, a year after Rock Ferry was established, at the forefront of the new wave of organic/biodynamic winegrowers that arose in the mid to late 2000’s.

Our driver for an organic/biodynamic winegrowing regime continues to be it is better for the environment, it is better for those who inhabit our vineyards (staff, family, pets) and it is the best way to express our terroir.

Wine Styles — From day one, we wanted to make a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc that is textural, subtle, and elegant - made from hand-picked, low yielding fruit and released when ready, usually with a year or two in bottle.  Referred to by the industry as ‘alternative Sauvignon Blanc,’ our Corners Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc is a style that continues to be the norm at Rock Ferry Wines.  This stylistic attitude is present in all our other wine styles - from sparkling wines, aromatic whites, bold reds, robust oranges, and unique wine varieties from Grüner Veltliner to Cabernet Franc.
