The reputation of Rhums Neisson continues to grow abroad, and the number of awards is increasing all the time.
Today, Neisson agricultural rums are among the most famous rums in the world.
The Neisson distillery was founded in 1932 by brothers Jean and Adrien Neisson,
Using the very best production techniques, the Neisson brothers quickly gained recognition for their talent.
In 1952, they created the "Zépol Karé" (square-shouldered) bottles.
Rectangular in shape, these bottles made a major contribution to the high reputation of Neisson rum.
Neisson owns 49 hectares of sugarcane fields, 4 hectares are organic. The notion of terroir takes on its full meaning: the Neisson family, in osmosis with its environment, produces exceptional agricultural rums and constantly innovates in terms of authenticity and excellence.
The NEISSON distillery produces agricultural rums that benefit from the appellation d'Origine Controlée Rhum Agricole Martinique.
In 2016, the first organic rum is offered to rum lovers.
As a forerunner in organic production and offering a high quality rum, enthusiasts particularly appreciate the moment of tasting.
Today, this small factory can pride itself on having preserved its independence like a fragile treasure, at a time when most distilleries are being absorbed by large groups.
It is one of the last independent, family-run distilleries on the island of Martinique. It accounts for barely 2% of the island's production. Around 320,000 liters of white rum are produced each year. Only 10% is aged in the Neisson cellar, which comprises some 400 barrels. The best Neisson rum is hidden somewhere in the distillery's cellar.
Finally, the Neisson distillery remains a benchmark for quality, authenticity and a unique place in the hearts of its loyal consumers.
