Founded in 1893 by the beautiful family of Doctor Chapelle, Domaine Chapelle & Fils located in Santenay is today run by the fifth generation of winegrowers. Succeeding Yvette & Jean-François, Simon Chapelle has managed the family estate since 2017. The 18 hectares of the property which extend from Santenay to Aloxe-Corton via Chassage-Montrachet and Pommard are exclusively worked in certified organic farming. Respect for the terroir is the key word, both in the vineyard (mechanical surface plowing, manual work, etc.) and in the cellar (sulfur-free pressing, native yeasts, and limited extraction, etc.). It is in this approach that the entire team of the estate works to produce quality local wines.
