Levantine Hill Estate Ranked #3 Winery in Australia | 22 May 2025

Levantine Hill Estate has been awarded the prestigious number three ranking in Australia in the 2025 Top Wineries of Australia Awards by The Real Review, a respected national benchmark that celebrates consistent excellence in winemaking.

Evaluated through rigorous blind tastings by a panel and judged solely on merit, the awards represent one of the most objective and respected recognitions in the wine industry.

Levantine Hill’s top-three ranking is a testament to the producer’s unwavering commitment to crafting cool-climate, world-class wines that reflect the unique terroir of the Yarra Valley. A number of standout wines helped secure Levantine Hill’s enviable position. The 2018 Samantha's Paddock Mélange Traditionnel received an extraordinary 98 points, with critic Stuart Knox declaring it could “sit in with the great Cabernets of the world.” Other top performers included the 2019 Optume Shiraz, 2018 Melissa’s Paddock Syrah, and 2019 Katherine’s Paddock Chardonnay, each receiving 97 points, as well as the 2021 Estate Chardonnay, receiving 96 points.

“This award is a vindication of what we've been quietly setting out to achieve. We’ve just been chipping away at what we believe is the best projection of our vineyards, of our people—of everything we can put together to encapsulate an essence and distillation of the Yarra Valley,” said Paul Bridgeman, Chief Winemaker at Levantine Hill. “There is pain involved in pursuing perfection... the fastidiousness and relentlessness are never ending”.

The Real Review conducts extensive blind tastings of wines with over 10,000 wines tasted in the past year. Only a select group of wineries earn a place on the annual “Top Wineries” list, with the top rankings reflecting exceptional performance across a diverse portfolio of wines.

This recognition builds on a period of strong momentum for Levantine Hill Estate, which has earned acclaim both nationally and internationally for its painstaking, no-expense-spared approach to winemaking, further propelled by the recent completion of its very own state-of-the-art winemaking facility and underground barrel store.

“To be recognised by The Real Review as a top three winery in the country is deeply humbling, especially being in such esteemed company alongside other great Australian winemakers” said Levantine Hill Managing Director Samantha Jreissati. “It reflects the extraordinary passion and dedication of our team, and our commitment to honouring the Estate’s true qualities.”
