These strong convictions — an ambitious undertaking carried for more than 15 years by passionate women and men at every stage of the winemaking process — have allowed the P181 cuvée to establish itself as a benchmark in its category.
P181 takes its name from cadastral parcel ZE 181, from which it is partly sourced — a historic 9-hectare vineyard located in Verneuil and cultivated with particular care. This is followed by a precise, minimally interventionist winemaking approach, including oak-barrel fermentation (using locally sourced barrels) for the Chardonnay and a restrained dosage. A true ode to nature.
THE NEW LOOK OF A DEEPLY COMMITTED CHAMPAGNECHAMPAGNE
CHAMPAGNEInspired by the nature that surrounds it, Canard-Duchêne is one of the pioneering Maison de Champagne in the production of organic Champagne. The Maison embarked on its organic journey as early as 2003, culminating in the release of its first certified organic cuvée in 2009.

LASTING COMMITMENTS
With P181, the Maison reaffirms its position and its commitments to living ecosystems. Beyond organic farming, the vineyard parcel also benefits from an agroforestry program designed to encourage biodiversity in its surroundings.
AN OPTIMIZED DESIGN
The challenge: to rethink without reinventing, preserving the essence and personality of the cuvée. The visual codes have therefore been modernized, in line with the Maison’s other Champagnes. A textured, more natural paper has been selected for the label, while the champagne cap now incorporates the neck label, reducing the overall use of materials and making recycling easier.
A CLEARLY DEFINED DOSAGE
P181 Champagne is dosed Extra Brut (4 g/L), revealing the freshness and purity of its blend. This defining characteristic is now highlighted on the new label. As with all Canard-Duchêne Champagnes, the dosage is carried out blind, reflecting a level of expertise carefully maintained throughout the entire production process.
