The champagne house has launched a number of projects to justifi ably promote
its wine-making history and development progress as well as its distinctive DNA. In particular, it is asserting its iconic Léonie cuvée as the symbol of this brand refresh, just as bold as the story of its inception when a female wine-grower and her barrel-maker
husband brought their names together on equal terms to create their Champagne Maison : Canard-Duchêne.
The Iconic Léonie cuvée, the symbol of Canard-Duchêne know-how, both in terms of continuity of style and a sense of refresh, is the perfect embodiment of the expansion over the years in the range of wines offered by this champagne house, where excellence
is now a reality. This champagne has been crafted with fi ne dining in mind, so is aimed
exclusively at wine merchants and the hospitality sector.
This fresh impetus is backed by new packaging and labelling. Canard-Duchêne has boldly revisited its design features,
notably through its historic signature colour, now an “iconic” green shade that is bright and distinctive, refl ective of its
Ludes environment. Its unusual label details the inclusion of a perpetual reserve and proclaims this new name, which was
an obvious choice: Iconic Léonie!
The Iconic Léonie cuvée is a tribute to the woman who co-founded the Maison, crafted in a fresh, indulgent style with emphasis on the fi nesse and elegance of Pinot Noir. This cuvée is distinguished by its combination of wines from the current vintage together
with a Perpetual Reserve made up of earlier blends, giving it both an immutable style and aromatic depth.
It is made from a blend of 40% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay and 25% Meunier.
The Iconic Léonie cuvée is crafted from the 2021 base harvest together with 50%
Perpetual Reserve, begun in 2012 and in which the oldest wine dates back to 2009.
