Rotweingut Lang | Burgenland, Austria
“Guter Wein braucht LANG” ("Good wine takes time - and it takes Lang (long)")
At Rotweingut Lang, every bottle tells a story of time, family, and deep connection to the land. Nestled in the rolling hills of Mittelburgenland, we cultivate 30 hectares of red grape varieties – with Blaufränkisch at the core – on ancient, mineral-rich soils warmed by the sun of the Pannonian plain.
For over three decades, our family has poured its soul into crafting bold, expressive wines that reflect where they come from – and who we are. Today, father, mother, and son work hand in hand, blending tradition with fresh energy.
Our signature wine, Raue Liebe (“Rough Love”), matures for years in oak barrels and then deep in the earth – a tribute to patience, strength, and our unwavering love for wine.
Come taste the soul of Austrian red wine – shaped by nature, time, and the Lang family.

aJust like the vines themselves, the Gettinger family is deeply rooted in Deinzendorf – and has been since 1686. With their love of good wine, Franz and Elfriede Gettinger laid the foundation for today’s winery early on. Their daughter Elfriede ran this winery with her husband Josef Heinzl. Tradition has continued since 1991: with success. Today, the Heinzl-Gettinger winery is known nationwide for exquisite taste and wines of the highest quality. A recipe for success that her son Martin is now passionately developing further with innovative ideas and new impulses.
Our winery is a family business, as it should be. Everyone has their role and works hard to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Elfriede Heinzl takes care of the organization and administration and looks after the guests at the winery and at events. Josef Heinzl is the good spirit in the wine cellar and nationwide sales are also in good hands with him. Son Martin Heinzl, on the other hand, looks after the extensive vineyards and follows in his parents' footsteps. Then there is Lukas Heinzl, who lends a hand at trade fairs and events. And of course Grandma Elfriede, who always helps out when there is a need. Finally, dog Lucy ensures a good atmosphere and welcomes the guests. And Grandpa Franz? He sits back and relaxes and enjoys the wine.
