Co-exhibitor of Tommasi Family Estates
The Marco Felluga winery stands as a symbol of tradition and innovation in the Friuli Venezia Giulia wine landscape, located in the renowned Collio region of North-East Italy, near the Slovenian border.
With over 150 years of history, the winery was founded in 1956 by Marco Felluga, continuously harnessing the potential of the area’s unique terroir, characterized by the "Ponca" soil, an ancient layering of marl and sandstone that provides excellent drainage and imparts distinctive mineral qualities to the wines.
In 1967, Marco Felluga acquired Russiz Superiore, one of the most prestigious crus in Collio, located in Capriva del Friuli. Russiz Superiore is considered Marco Felluga’s flagship cru, synonymous with history and excellence. The estate covers 100 hectares, with 50 hectares cultivated as vineyards, making it an invaluable asset in the heart of Collio.
Passion, experience, and foresight: these are the words that best describe the Felluga family’s connection to the world of wine.
Today, Ilaria Felluga, the sixth generation of the family, leads both Marco Felluga and Russiz Superiore, in partnership with the Tommasi family, renowned producers from Valpolicella, Veneto.
Ilaria continues the legacy of her grandfather Marco and her father Roberto, upholding the tradition of a passionate and forward-looking dynasty of winemakers deeply tied to their origins and the unique land of Collio.
Sustainability is at the core of Marco Felluga’s philosophy. The winery is VIVA-certified for sustainable agriculture and follows the SQNPI certification for integrated production. These certifications reflect a commitment to eco-friendly farming practices, minimizing the use of chemicals, water, and energy, while enhancing the quality of their wines.
