Tour des Termes, located in the prestigious Saint-Estèphe appellation in Bordeaux, has undergone a significant revival in recent years, marked by a renewed focus on quality, precision, and expression of terroir.
Since the estate’s relaunch, considerable investments have been made both in the vineyard and the winery. Vineyard management has been refined with a more parcel-by-parcel approach, allowing each plot to be cultivated according to its specific soil composition and vine needs. This has led to improved grape quality and better balance in the wines.
In the cellar, modernization has been key. Careful vinification techniques, including controlled fermentations and gentle extraction methods, are now used to preserve the purity of fruit and the elegance of the structure. Oak aging has also been fine-tuned to support the wine without overpowering its character.
The style of Tour des Termes today reflects a classic yet contemporary Saint-Estèphe profile: structured and age-worthy, with refined tannins, freshness, and increasing aromatic complexity. The wines show a clear identity, combining power with precision.
Overall, the revival of Tour des Termes has positioned the estate as a rising reference within Saint-Estèphe, gaining recognition for its consistent quality and renewed ambition.
The De Schepper family owns five vineyards in Bordeaux and the De Mour trading house. Know-how passed on from generation to generation, a mastery of all the steps from the vineyard to the glass, and a portfolio of high-end products thanks to exclusive partnerships with winegrowers are undeniable values of the house. De Mour wants to offer its consumers wines with an excellent quality/price ratio that reflect the terroirs. Wines made with respect to the structural and aromatic complexity of the grape varieties and with respect for sustainable development. Our dynamic, highly qualified and always attentive team ensures distribution to the four corners of the world.
Located 40 km from Bordeaux, extending the Saint-Émilion appellation, on the famous clay-limestone hillside, the 29 hectares of Château Côte Montpezat benefit from a full southern exposure. The vineyard, which is 40 years old, is primarily planted with Merlot grapes. The plots, rigorously selected before harvest, produce various wines and appellations.
Indeed, on this estate, a Bordeaux rosé is vinified, mostly in stainless steel vats, another Bordeaux rosé is aged in barrels, a Bordeaux Blanc is barrel-aged with bâtonnage on lees, and two styles of red wine from Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux are regularly rated by the press and awarded at wine competitions.
