KVINT – SINGLE ESTATE SINCE 1897

The Tiraspol Winery & Distillery KVINT established in 1897 is one of the oldest and biggest wine and spirits producers in the Republic of Moldova. KVINT is an acronym composed of the first letters of the Russian phrase meaning “Divins, wines and beverages of Tiraspol”. Annually we output more than 20 million bottles of divins, wines, vodkas, gin, brandies, which can easily compete with many famous brands.

Due to the mild climate, exceptionally beneficial terroirs, hilly terrains and proximity to the Dniester river, we have favorable conditions for growing excellent grapes. KVINT possesses its own vineyards spread over 2000 hectares. Here we cultivate more than 30 varieties of grapes, including such traditional French varieties as Ugni Blanc, Colombard and Folle Blanche. As a result of our cooperation with German Institutes of Freiburg and Geisenheim, we started growing highly productive grape varieties resistant to extreme temperatures and diseases.

In our cellars we keep about 11 million liters of absolute alcohol of wine-distilled spirits aged in oak barrels from 1 year to 60 years according to classical production process. Such broad choice of spirits of different ages gives our blenders an unlimited freedom to create new compositions and to guarantee to the consumer permanently high level of quality and recognizable brands. The use in a blend of spirits, distilled from classical cognac grape varieties, makes our divin an inimitable masterpiece, giving to sophisticated connoisseurs its gorgeous bouquet with subtle national trait, a signature of our land.

Abundance and diversity of the materials allow our masters to create not only first-class divins aged from 3 to 60 years, but also other outstanding beverages. We are focusing our efforts on making a wide assortment of wines. Along with still dry, semi-sweet and dessert wines, the KVINT’s portfolio can boast of some excellent sparkling wines made according to méthode classique with the secondary fermentation in the bottles.

Strong beverages of KVINT Distillery are made from the selected raw materials. Infusions prepared by the company’s experts give our vodka soft taste and inimitable aroma, whereas due to silver and platinum filtration our beverages acquire crystal clarity and brilliance. Gins are made according to London Dry Gin production process, juniper berries and various botanicals make their aroma rich and fresh. Spirits for production of brandies are aged in oak barrels, therefore these alcoholic drinks feature magnificent, well-developed bouquet with noble notes of old oak.
