Centare Vineyard is located in the heart of the Yarra Valley, Australia's oldest and most prestigious cool climate wine region, renowned for producing some of the most exceptional varietal wines in the country.
The small, single vineyard estate is family-owned, and all Centare wines are produced entirely from fruit grown on the estate.
Our beautiful location places us at the centre of a very diverse set of exosystems, and while we strive to produce the best wine possible, we are conscious of minimising the impact on our natural surroundings. We employ best management practices and explore every opportunity to improve our environment.
As members of Sustainable Winengrowing Australia we endeavour to minimise the footprint of all our activities, and proud participating members of the national Ecovineyards program that supports enhancing soil health, establishing ground covers and increasing functional diversity across the estate.
Our wines are award winning and highly endorsed (95+, 96 and 97 points) produced from classic regional varieties - Chardonnay, Shiraz and Cabernet blends.
Centare Vineyard Old Block wines are produced from from vines nearing 30 years old vines. Our new, Centare One by One wines are produced from a 'no-expense spared' high density project started in 2018.

The De Bortoli family story is one of determination and triumph that started 90 years ago in war-torn Europe and is now told, generations later, across Australia.
De Bortoli’s heritage encompasses the universal story of immigrants making good in an adopted land, the rise and rise of the Australian wine industry and the tale of a hardworking and innovative family who considers good wine, good food and good friends to be among the true pleasures in life.
Situated on fertile volcanic soils of Colbinabbin, within the Heathcote region, Ellis Wines began its life in 1999, when Bryan and Joy Ellis planted the very first vines.
Strategically positioned to harness the natural environment, Ellis Wines planted its vines facing North to South, allowing the cool winds to lower the temperature, in turn producing succulent grapes that capture the perfect level of acidity. Until 2009 Ellis Wines sold its highly coveted produce to numerous wineries across the state of Victoria, before founding Ellis Wines as the brand which is recognised today. Still family-owned and -operated more than twenty years since its inception, Ellis Wines’ empire has expanded from its initial 25-acres to an impressive 129-acres of land, with a yield of approximately 34-tonnes of wine each year. Paying homage to those who have contributed to making Ellis Wines what it is today, each subsequent plot of land added to Ellis Wines’ empire is named after one of its beloved family members.
Primarily specialising in Shiraz, but also Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Rosé, Viognier and Moscato, Ellis Wines utilises its extensive experience and knowledge to produce exquisite wines across its large acreage.
The company’s ample experience in producing grapes of exceptional quality has allowed Ellis Wines to go from strength to strength. In addition to the myriad of prestigious awards and accolades the team has been awarded, Ellis Wines is also incredibly proud to be a 5-star rated winery in the 2021 Halliday Wine Companion, as well as placing in the Top 10 Dark Horse Wineries in the 2021 Halliday Wine Companion. Housing numerous award-winning wines like its 2016 Premium Shiraz, which was awarded Gold at the 2019 Royal Melbourne Wine Awards and was among the Best of the Best by Variety in the 2021 Halliday Wine Companion.
Our name, derived from the Aboriginal word ‘beeric’, which translates as ‘wild cat’, was bestowed on the Pyrenees region by its traditional custodians, the Dja Dja Wurrung. Their beliefs and dreamtime stories, together with the triskele from our Celtic culture, are proudly depicted on our wine labels. This encompasses both our cultures deep spiritual connection to the earth, water, sky and its creatures – in essence our terroir. All working in harmony to produce our distinctive range of quality, award-winning wines.
Our Vineyard
Nestled in the heart of the rugged Australian Pyrenees, two hours north-west of Melbourne, our vineyard sits in an elevated landscape of rich free draining top soils; overlaying gravelly shale, quartz and deep clay. The summer days are warm and dry but the nights are cool and our winters cold. Perfect conditions for long ripening and the production of powerful, elegant wines with intense flavours, superb structure, colour and ageing potential.
aaa aaaAbout Us
Peerick is family owned and operated by Michael and Felicity O’Hara and our children, Megan and Luke. Established in the late 1980’s, we acquired Peerick in 2018. Revitalising the vineyard and rebranding, we re-introduced Peerick wine to the market after a 15-year absence. All vines are hand-pruned, grapes hand-picked and we irrigate using natural rainfall from the Pyrenees.
We maintain a deep connection and respect for the ancient and fragile country from which our wines are derived. It permeates everything we do, from our viticultural practices through to our minimalist intervention winemaking. We’re deeply committed to a rich, healthy, sustainable and diverse eco-system for our vines to thrive in. While not organic certified, we abide by the principles and utilise chemical only when absolutely necessary. All our wines are vegan friendly with no fining agents and minimal use of preservatives. Key varieties include Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier and Semillon in white and Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Grenache, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc in red.
aaaOur Health Focus
“Drink Peerick wine … it’s healthier for you”, is our catchcry and unique selling proposition. Our focus is on the health benefits derived from our vineyard cultural practices and wine making processes. It all starts in the vineyard with the careful selection by hand of only the highestquality fruit & vines; coupled with the strategic use of organically approved chemicals. Subsequently by minimal intervention wine making using wild yeast fermentation and no fining agents. Practices and processes which deliver a premium quality, low preservative, low calorie, vegan friendly, gluten free, healthier wine that consumers want to drink.

A family-owned business, Shadowfax winery was
established in 1998 by Mark Robertson and Stewart
Langton and is located just 30 kilometres from Melbourne
in the heart of Werribee Park.
Contemporary in design and function, Shadowfax’s unique
architecture (designed by award-winning architects Wood
Marsh) reflects an attempt to create a harmony between
the winery and its natural surroundings. Its rusted sheet
metal exterior, and its terracotta interior, evokes the best
of our Australian wine heritage.
Headed by chief winemaker Alister Timms, Shadowfax’s
wines are made onsite at their winery in Werribee
Park, which are left undisturbed in the specially built
underground barrel hall to quietly mature and evolve.
Shadowfax also offers visitors the opportunity to taste the
wines, purchase from the cellar door or enjoy a leisurely
meal in the 80-seat restaurant.
Consistently rated a five-star winery by Halliday,
Shadowfax’s wines have a strong focus on regionality
with most of its fruit produced from its vineyards in the
Macedon Ranges and Werribee.
Family-owned premium wine producer situated in the heart of the Heathcote Wine Region, in Victoria Australia. Our winery operates completely off-grid, with 95% of our power requirements provided by solar energy.
Silver Spoon Estate won the Sustainable and Environment category in the 2021 Be Bendigo Business Awards, and our restaurant and cellar door was a Bronze medal winner in the Victorian Tourism Awards in 2025.
We are looking for export opportunities for our wines in China and South East Asia. Shiraz, Viognier, and GSM wines are available at Vinexpo to taste. They are medium to full-bodied wines of great balance and finesse, and have been recognised with many awards.
Soul Growers stands for everything that is great about the Barossa; shared wisdom, new ideas, mateship and a passion for making and enjoying great wine. It was born out of a friendship of three dedicated souls who saw the opportunity to join forces and chase their winemaking dream. Paul, Tom and Stu had worked together previously in a corporate world but were convinced that their future would one day be an uncomplicated, hand-made and lovingly nurtured winemaking enterprise working with the best grape growers to emphasise the regional and varietal flavours of our beloved Barossa Valley.
