Open Range is Pierre Bories’ creative label, offering wines inspired by the landscapes and flavors of the Languedoc while staying rooted in authenticity and drinkability.
Cuve 102 is the core red of the range, an organically grown Languedoc AOP that draws from three complementary terroirs to deliver a wine that is consistently satisfying, broadly food-friendly, and easy to position across restaurant by-the-glass programs, casual dining lists, and accessible retail.
Carignan: 50% + Grenache Noir: 40% + Syrah: 10%
The vines range from 30 to 70 years old across schist, sandstone, and limestone soils, each variety harvested separately at its own pace to lock in freshness and avoid excess weight. Post-fermentation blending and aging in stainless steel preserve the wine's natural vitality and keep the profile clean and approachable.
The nose is generous and expressive, with ripe black cherry, wild herbs, and a grounding earthy note, while the palate delivers juicy cherry, cranberry, black plum, pepper, and a soft mineral lift on the finish. The old-vine sourcing, certified organic farming, and AOP status give this wine a solid commercial foundation at its price point.
