From the Barbaresco village of San Rocco Seno d'Elvio & specifically from the cru Rocche Massalupo, on talc white Serravallian-Tortonian soils, Manuel Marinacci has been making artisan wines in limited quantities from the single 4ha plot since 2004; only since 2019 has he added a small parcel in the village for making Langhe Nebbiolo. The range is completed by a robust, cement-vinified Barbera d'Alba.
His fresh but blueberry-rich 2024 Dolcetto d'Alba comes from some of the oldest vines on the estate, located mainly at the foot of Rocche Massalupo where the soil is richest. Made without oak, Manuel bottles the wine a year after harvest.
