Along with 'Conterno', the family name 'Seghesio' is synonymous with Monforte d'Alba; the family moved to the centre of the village in 1968, where they are now adding a wingt to their cantina. But it was Renzo Seghesio who put the family on the map in 1996 by buying the 7ha Cascina Pajana property, now located within the Ginestra MGA. They also own two plots in Santa Maria della Morra, Bricco Chiesa & Roggeri, while in 2011 they invested in the Roero, buying 4ha in Sanche', Vezza d'Alba. Good news in 2020: the return of Raffaele's brother Federico, the hiring of a new consultant, Roberto Valletti, & the acquisto of a super Pellenc destalker!
Named after the name of the family (Roe') who once owned the Roero, this 2024 Nebbiolo d'Alba comes from the single 'sabbia marina' vineyard Sanche' in the comune of Vezza d'Alba; the valley that runs parallel to Valmaggiore. 30% of the mass was aged in tonneaux so as to focus on the sorbet-like rose/red fruit.
