MASOTTINA A TERRITORY, A FAMILY, AN OENOLOGY HERITAGE The history of Masottina is rooted in the 5 hectares of vineyard acquired in 1946 in Gorgo al Monticano, in the province of Treviso, where in the manor house overlooking the vineyard an ancient inscription was brought to light: Casa Masottina. Hence the name of the historic brand controlled by the Dal Bianco family for three generations. Today Masottina's wines are the result of the almost 370 hectares that extend across the hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene, UNESCO heritage site , and in the Venetian lands, with two lines: Masottina, dedicated to the production of sparkling wines, and Ai Palazzi, the brand of elegant still wines. The company's vineyard park was built over time, made up of vineyards expertly selected and cultivated by the family, according to SQNPI rules. However, it is in the Rive (literally "steep hills") of Ogliano that Masottina expresses the best of its production and qualitative philosophy, thanks to the crus that are the expression of a unique terroir: R.D.O. Ponente and R.D.O. Levante, which thanks to Wine Spectator brought the Rive di Ogliano into the famous TOP 100 of the most important wines in the world for the first time.
